Many of California's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving California's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We handle every aspect of wildlife control. We are fully equipped to work on any project, large or small. Some of our services include:

  • Humane wildlife trapping and relocaton services
  • Removal of raccoons or squirrels from the attic
  • Building repairs and prevention work to keep animals out
  • 100% permanent elimination of rats, mice, or even bats
  • Cleanup of animal waste and odor control services
  • Emergency animal issues, and dead animal removal

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local San Bernardino county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Barstow animal control for wildlife issues.

Barstow Wildlife Removal Tip:

Venomous Snakes of Texas

When someone talks about Texas then the name "Snakes" pops up automatically because Texas is the home of hundred of snakes; not all snakes are venomous but it is found that the 15 most fatal species of snakes are found over there. Normally, snakes don't bite humans unless they feel that they are in danger or in some uncomfortable situation. They do play a good role in the ecosystem of Texas by controlling rodents.

The 4 most dangerous species of Snakes that are found there are as follows:-

Coral Snakes - Coral Snakes are brightly colored with black, red and yellow strips. If the yellow and red strips are together then the snake will be venomous otherwise not. These snakes are mainly found in the southeastern part of Texas. They usually live under rocks or in burrows. The symptoms of the bite of coral snake may take hours to appear and then person may feel visionary problems and respiratory failure or paralysis thereafter.

Copperhead - Copperhead is a brown colored snake with reddish-brown patches which makes it very difficult to see in the dried leaves. These are mainly found in wooded bottomlands and rocky areas. There are 3 subspecies of copperhead found in Texas - Broadbanded copperhead, Southern copperhead and Transpecos copperhead. They only bite when they feel threatened and the bite can cause infections in the human body.

Cottonmouth - Cottonmouth or water moccasin are generally dark brown with wide and dark bands and their coloration gets darker with age. They usually grow to over 4 or 5 feet. They are (rarely) found in the eastern parts of the Texas usually in coastal marshes, sluggish waterways, rives, ponds etc. They eat fish or frog. They are one of the most dangerous snakes found in Texas and their bite can result in hemorrhage.

Rattlesnakes - Rattlesnakes are the most likely to be seen in Texas because number of snakes fall into their category which include -

  • Diamond Rattlesnake
  • Western Rattlesnake
  • Timber Rattler
  • Mojave Rattlesnake
  • Pygmy Rattlesnake
  • Western Rattlesnake
  • Mississauga Rattlesnake

  • Out of all these categories, Diamondback is the longest and most prevalent. These are the most widespread snakes usually found in (easternmost) areas with thick vegetation.

Safety measures to avoid these snakes -

It's much better to avoid them then to kill them as they play a very valuable role in the environment. Therefore, follow these simple safety measures to avoid them -

  • Keep your surrounding clean and lawn trimmed.
  • Always wear long boots/shoes when going out during or after the rainy season because that's the time when they come out of their holes seeking a dry area.
  • Remove any kind of debris, rock or woods around your residential area.
  • Don't panic if you see a snake because it will threaten them and they may bite you.
  • If in case someone is bitten by the snake then immediately go for the medical help and try to remember the color/length or any special features of the snake as this will help in recognizing it.
