Many of California's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving California's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We handle every aspect of wildlife control. We are fully equipped to work on any project, large or small. Some of our services include:

  • Humane wildlife trapping and relocaton services
  • Removal of raccoons or squirrels from the attic
  • Building repairs and prevention work to keep animals out
  • 100% permanent elimination of rats, mice, or even bats
  • Cleanup of animal waste and odor control services
  • Emergency animal issues, and dead animal removal

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local San Diego county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Ramona animal control for wildlife issues.

Ramona Wildlife Removal Tip:

How do you kill a raccoon in the yard?

You've just about had it with this raccoon. Every night before going to sleep for the past week you've made sure to shut the lid of the trashcan tight, and every morning without fail you find the trashcan opened and toppled over, its foul contents littering your yard.

Your garden is a mess; all the pots have either been knocked over or dug empty, and the once neat carpet of grass is in ruins. You feel a wave of bloodlust washing over you, and you swear vengeance upon the raccoon. You shall have its head for all the trouble it has caused you.

The question is, what would be the best way to eliminate this pest? Here are a few you could try out.

Shooting

"Bah, who cares what the best way is?! All I need is my trusty shotgun!", You might think. And you would be right. Aim carefully, and you could end your problem in seconds. Except that you might not actually. See, a wild animal, raccoon or otherwise, isn't going to sit still and let you kill it, and even though they're fairly large targets, they're quite swift and agile too, which would make killing it in one shot quite difficult. And would your state even allow you to fire a gun in a residential neighborhood? Probably not, so why don't you put that gun away.

Lethal traps

"How about a lethal snap-trap? One step on the trigger and the jaws would close around its neck and snap it like a twig!", You ponder. While certainly a method with a higher rate of success than simply going ballistic with your shotgun, it's not one that's too easy to execute.

You have to be careful setting the trap (don't want to be snared in our trap, now do we?) and also have to make sure no other animal wanders near it. Frankly, the risk is too high, so unless you know exactly what you're doing, I'd advise you to drop this one too.

Poison

"Eh, let's just leave some poisoned bait out. It'll eat it and die on its own. Why put in so much effort?", You conclude. Now while I may have acknowledged some merits of the previous two methods, going the poison route is the worst choice you could make. One, you won't be killing the animal instantly, rather putting it in unimaginable pain for hours on end.

Two, during its final hours it could just as well choose to die in some hard to reach the corner of your house, meaning you'd have to tear apart your house weeks later to try and find the source of the awful rotting smell, the carcass. And three, you're once again putting pets and other animals in danger.

Why you're better off trapping and relocating it

Trapping and relocating holds one underrated advantage for you: YOU WON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH A BLOODY AND OR POISONOUS CARCASS. Trust me, disposing of a carcass and cleaning up is much more of a pain than you realize at first. Which is why using a live cage trap and relocating the raccoon somewhere far off would save you a lot of trouble.
