  • Scratching Noises in Your Attic?
  • Unwanted Wildlife on Property?
  • Problem Bird or Bat Infestation?
  • Digging Lawn or Under House?
  • We Can Solve It!
Many of California's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving California's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Contra Costa county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Richmond animal control for wildlife issues.

Richmond Wildlife Removal Tip: Do Moth balls or Ammonia Help Repel Opossums?
People are frightened at the thought of having an opossum on their property and hence they try everything to get rid of it. Although the internet is filled with advice and so-called opossum repellent products, you should be aware of the fact that opossums are mammals, so there are no effective opossum repellents to be bought from anywhere. Maybe you have heard about mothballs and ammonia, which are said to be a great choice for repelling opossum. Well, unfortunately, none of these will work as opossum repellents.

Mothballs or Ammonia Used As Repellents
Many people consider mothballs or ammonia to be some of the best choices to be used as opossum repellents. However, they donít work as opossum repellents, so you should try other things that might help you get rid of opossums from your property. Thinking logically, it makes sense that mothballs and ammonia donít do anything against opossum, since opossums are mammals, exactly as we humans are. So think about it: do mothballs or ammonia have any negative harmful effects on you? Well, not really. So this means that they canít do any harm on opossums, either.

What Repellents are Effective on Opossums?
Of course different companies that you find on the internet or see on TV commercials will try to sell their products as the perfect repellents for opossums. However, you should know that none of these products will actually work. Even in case there might be some repellents that would have some negative effects on the opossums, chances are these would also be toxic for you and for your pets.

What to Do?
Instead of spending money and wasting time trying to get rid of opossums with different ďrepellentsĒ, you should rather try to prevent these mammals from getting on your property. For this, you need to know that opossums are actually looking for food, so one of the first things that you should do is trying to prevent providing food sources for them by removing any leftovers from your pets, and cleaning any debris, such as fallen leaves, beetles and any other sources of food that would attract opossums to your courtyard or house.

Although prevention is the best in regards to keeping opossums away from your property, this doesnít always work. So in case opossums got to your property and you need to get rid of them, remember that there are no repellents that have proven their efficiency against opossums. You need to naturally get rid of them. The best choices are to trap and remove the opossums from your property and there are several ways will help you do this. You can either do this on your own, or hire a wildlife removal company to help you with this issue.

Richmond Animal News Clip: Plenty of raccoon for Richmond opener

Richmond raccoon wild animal control companies open their season on Saturday and from all indications the wild animal control companies should find decent conditions. The late spring rains have provided plenty of feed and water in the nearby woodlands and the raccoon are in excellent condition. Cage trap wild animal control companies reported seeing a amount of good male raccoons in the Mighty Bear National Woodland just last month. Read on for more information about animal control in Richmond, California.

The Mighty Bear National Woodland will draw most of the wildlife management company activity. Popular areas such as raccoon Valley, raccoon Mountain, Pine Mountain and Bartlett Springs will be loaded with wild animal control companies during opening weekend. All the raccoon in Lake County are of the sharp-toothed species. They are cousins of the mule raccoon, only much smaller. A mature sharp-toothed male raccoon weighs about 140-160 pounds alive. Most of the male raccoons taken by wild animal control companies are forked-horns, which means they have a branch on at least one Skin. A three-pounder is considered a trophy and a four-pounder is a rarity. Despite this there is no free Richmond animal services for wildlife in Contra Costa County.

As in past years, Agency of Fish and Game (Department of Fish and Game) game wardens will be out in force on opening weekend and will be using the raccoon decoy to help nab poaches. The decoy, which resembles a three-pound male raccoon, has fooled more than one poacher. The wardens also will be enforcing the loaded-weapon-in-vehicle law. A weapon is considered loaded by the Department of Fish and Game when there is a shell in the chamber. The wardens also will be looking for trespassers. The law says that if a nuisance wildlife land is posted, wooden barrier or under cultivation, you must have written permission from the owner to animal capture on it. Most Richmond pest control companies that we interviewed found this interesting.

It goes without saying that you must have a valid wildlife trapping license and the appropriate raccoon documentation that allows animal exterminations in your possession while wildlife trapping. The fire danger level also will be very high. Campfires are only allowed in designated campgrounds. If a wildlife management company sets a wildfire and is caught, he can expect to pay not only a fine but the cost of fighting the fire, which can run into thousands of dollars. The A zone season runs through Sept. 24 and the limit is one forked-horn raccoon or better per tag. A person can purchase a maximum of two documentation that allows animal exterminations. Raccoon season also opens Saturday. The open area for raccoon is the same as the Richmond raccoon season. The Department of Fish and Game also has a program for beginners. At least, this is what Richmond extermination companies think.
