  • Scratching Noises in Your Attic?
  • Unwanted Wildlife on Property?
  • Problem Bird or Bat Infestation?
  • Digging Lawn or Under House?
  • We Can Solve It!
Many of California's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving California's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Orange county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Westminster animal control for wildlife issues.

Westminster Wildlife Removal Tip: How to Get Rid of Snakes in the Attic

Snakes are a source of fear, concern, and problems in people's lives. When they get into your attic, all of this worsens for you. You want them gone before they get into other areas of your home or harm you or anyone else. This means taking an active approach, removing them yourself. Doing so does not have to be difficult and there are a few options available to you. If you have trouble with these, or would like a trusted solution, you can always contact a professional and have them do it for you. Professional services can make the entire process simpler.

Know Their Entry

To get the snake out, and keep it out, you will want to find its entry point. For a lot of people, this might be difficult, especially since snakes can get into small holes. Look around the top of the house, where the roof begins, and try to find an entry point. You may also find one elsewhere, of course, which is what makes this so difficult. Once you know where the snake gets in, you can either close it up and trap the snake or you can use an exclusion trap.

Exclusion traps work well, but are harder with snakes. You will have to remove food sources from the attic and go in to try to get the snake to go out. Once the snake leaves, you can close up its entry point so that it cannot go back into your attic. Again, doing this is a little harder. Luckily, there are other options available.

Trapping the Snake

A popular method is to trap the snake. Glue traps are one of the best for this as they can capture the snake with little effort. The moment the snake goes over it, they cannot move. You can then pick up the trap and take it elsewhere to release the snake. To release it from a glue trap, you will have to cover it with vegetable oil. Otherwise, the snake may die in the trap.

As mentioned above, professional services can help if you are at a loss. If you do not know how to handle a snake, or would like someone trusted to do the job, these services can come through for you. Whatever you choose to do, make sure that you follow through and get the snake out as soon as you can.
