  • Unwanted Wildlife on Property?
  • Problem Bird or Bat Infestation?
  • Digging Lawn or Under House?
  • We Can Solve It!
Many of Florida's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving Florida's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Orange county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Lake Nona animal control for wildlife issues.

Lake Nona Wildlife Removal Tip: How to get mice out of the garage

Get a cat

Isn't this obvious? Cats are natural mice predators and mice fear cats. The ones that manage to escape the claws of the cat will run for their lives before being made a meal out of it by the cat. Mice will rarely stay when they know that danger is close by, in fact they will run as far as possible from that spot and never come back. However, this does not mean that they are gone forever since another infestation is likely to arrive when they smell their previous counterparts and which will in turn run away when they discover the danger that lies in that garage, and so the trend continues for as long as it takes.

Use a mouse deterrent

This electronic device is used to produce ultrasonic sound; meaning that the sound produced can be heard by mice but cannot be heard by human beings. Usually, the sound is high pitched such that it creates a great disturbance to the animals that can hear it. Install this device close to your garage and set it up whenever you feel that the mice have become a nuisance and don't seem to be moving out any time soon, instead they are just increasing in number. This disturbingly high sound will give the mice a headache and will force them to evacuate. Also, this method is very effective in preventing re-infestation since no mouse can withstand that sound and live peacefully.

Add a small amount of poison to the bait food and after a mouse consumes this poison it will surely die. To be successful at getting rid of mice, you have to supply poisoned food frequently. The more the poisoned food, the more the number of mice eating and dying; and the more the deaths, the more the others get alert and will try as much as possible to avoid these foods. Avoiding food means that they might starve and so mostly they will choose to leave instead of staying and getting killed by poisoning or starvation.

Use of repellents

For example the fresh cab, which does not kill the mice but instead, prevents them from entering or even, coming close to the garage. The fresh cab is a mouse repellent, among many others, that is natural, biodegradable and safe to use with the family and pets around. Ingredients in this compound make their scent disliked by mice but the aroma is very pleasing to people.

This is a common method. The use of snap traps and glue-traps can also be initiated to catch mice in the garage if set in the right places and with the right bait.
