  • Problem Bird or Bat Infestation?
  • Digging Lawn or Under House?
  • We Can Solve It!
Many of Florida's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving Florida's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Orange county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Windermere, Bay Hill, and Dr Phillips animal control for wildlife issues.

Windermere, Bay Hill, and Dr Phillips Wildlife Removal Tip: How to get rats out of your car

Rats are not just a problem in houses and other buildings; they are also a disaster if they find their way into your car. They will crawl into vents and might die in there. This will cause the car to smell when the body stars to decompose. Also, they will eat through the car wire and may cause problems such as gnawed engine wires, shredded gauze in the air vents, chewed insulation, holes in the non metal aspects of the car, scratches on car components, smelly atmosphere from their droppings and urine among other destructions resulting from their activities.

The following measures will help prevent rats from getting into your car.

1. Always keep your car clean. Papers, dirty utensils, fast food bags and remains, fruit peelings, snacks, food crumbs, dirty clothing and any other junk in the car will attract rats to your car. In other words, it's like turning your car into a smaller version of a dumpster and rats will always find these places suitable to hide, nest, sleep and scavenge for food.
2. Keep the car dry and cool. Rats will live in a place that is constantly warm. They will create their nests around these places and also sleep here. Also moisture accumulation in the car is a rat attractant. Moisture in your car can be a result of many factors, such as damp clothing, a leak in the heater, or blocked pollen filter. Ensure that condensation does not build up in the car by checking all equipments in the car are working properly such as the heater and the pollen filter. Also, frequently airing the inside of the car will greatly by opening all the doors and the boot for some time to allow fresh air to circulate inside.
3. Ensure that there is no leaf accumulation close to where you park your car. Rats like to travel in hidden pathways where they cannot be easily seen or spotted, thus they will use the foliage to make it into your car, especially during autumn. They can't quite make it to your car if they can't even get close to it therefore a good idea to keep the surrounding lot of your car always clear.
4. Apart from when you are airing the car or during repair or when getting in and out, do not leave your vehicle open for long either intentionally or unintentionally. Maybe you have forgotten something in the house and you leave the door open to go fetch it or maybe one of your windows does no close completely, then rats will use this to their advantage as a way in and make your car their safe haven.
