  • Scratching Noises in Your Attic?
  • Unwanted Wildlife on Property?
  • Problem Bird or Bat Infestation?
  • Digging Lawn or Under House?
  • We Can Solve It!
Many of Georgia's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving Georgia's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Union county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Blairsville animal control for wildlife issues.

Blairsville Wildlife Removal Tip: Do rats jump? How high or how far?

This is somewhat a very confusing question but some people have claimed that rats do jump and itís a question we have been asked before. Given their smallness, how far do you think they can jump? Rats are mysterious animals. They are small and what is even surprising is that they can even swim. Rats have feelings and if they can be able to do all these stuff, it means that jumping to them is not an issue. Therefore, if you want to know how far or how high a rat can jump, just keep reading to find out more.

How far?

Rats can jump a horizontal distance of up to 4feet. Well research have shown and indicated that some powerful rats can even go beyond that. In my experience, younger rats are more willing to take the risk. The older rats have shown less activity when it comes to taking a flying leap. Most of these small guys will take a leap from the couch to the table. What they are normally scared of is taking the same leap from the table to the couch.

How high?

For most of the rats, this is what they are normally scared of. Some of the rats that have shown greater acrobatics techniques have shown to jump a vertical distance of up to 3 feet. It gets even more interesting. The rats have shown to jump a height of upto 40 feet without sustaining some serious injuries.

If you have a rat, either a jumper or a scrambler, you need to always have it under very close supervision. Rats, like cats like playing around, the couches, and everywhere else they land. Therefore, always keep them under close supervision. Wild rats are dangerous when in pain. If it falls from a high distance to get injured, they may turn vigorous. For the pet rats, always keep them in close supervision while playing. When unsupervised, the rats should be kept out of high places. These are some of the things that you need to take a keen look at to avoid being on the wrong side. Always take care of your rat.

Wild rats dues to the engagement with some hardy conditions which they are predisposed to, this makes them more aggressive and experts when it comes to acrobatic techniques. Therefore do not be surprised to see a rat jumping even higher than that.
