Many of Idaho's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving Idaho's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We handle every aspect of wildlife control. We are fully equipped to work on any project, large or small. Some of our services include:

  • Humane wildlife trapping and relocation services
  • Removal of raccoons or squirrels from the attic
  • Building repairs and prevention work to keep animals out
  • 100% permanent elimination of rats, mice, or even bats
  • Cleanup of animal waste and odor control services
  • Emergency animal issues, and dead animal removal

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Ada county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Eagle animal control for wildlife issues.

Eagle Wildlife Removal Tip: Rat traps that work
If you have a rat or rats in your home, then you want to act quickly to get rid of these creatures as fast as you can. Rats can be rather unnerving inside your home, and pose a health risk to you and your family as they not only carry different kinds of diseases that pose a risk to you, but they leave their waste all over your house, which is quite disgusting if you get down to it.

If you had to the store looking for a trap, you will find all kinds of options out there. The question is what rat traps actually work? Here are a few you want to consider.

The Classic Snap Trap

Most of us are quite familiar with this trap. This is the traditional wooden trap, which has been upgraded in some cases to a plastic or metal option, which holds a piece of bait on it. When the rat attempts to pull the bait off of the trap, it unleashes the mechanism which closes down quickly on the rodent, killing or maiming it.

This is a trap that has been used for generations with great success. The only real detractor to it is that many find their own fingers closed in the trap at times. It's highly effective, but be careful when setting up.

Easy Snap Trap

This is a trap that is very much like the classic kind, but looks very much like an alligator mouth. You open up the jaws of this contraption, which exposes the mechanism upon which you place the bait. It looks very much like the tongue inside the mouth of this trap. When the rat pulls the bait off of the mechanism, it closes down the jaws of the trap. Not only does this apply an incredible force, but the teeth of the trap are set so that it punctures through the rat at the same time, killing it instantly.

This trap is a lot less likely to catch your fingers in it but, if it does, it really hurts. Be extra careful when setting up.

Electric Traps

We live in a modern age, which means there should be modern ideas for traps. The electric trap is one such example. This trap works quite simply. The bait is placed inside the trap near the far end from where the opening is that. When the rat enters inside, on electric charge is sent that electrocute the rat, killing it instantly. To get rid of it, all you have to do is dump the rat out of the trap and into the garbage.

The only detractor to this is your concern for the rest of your pets. Make sure you put this in a place that your cat or dog will not have access to it, otherwise you may have an electrified pet.

Live Catch Traps

There are also cage kind of traps that will lure the rat into them, capturing the animal. It is not killed, but is only trap allowing you to release it somewhere else if you so wish.
