Many of Idaho's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving Idaho's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We handle every aspect of wildlife control. We are fully equipped to work on any project, large or small. Some of our services include:

  • Humane wildlife trapping and relocation services
  • Removal of raccoons or squirrels from the attic
  • Building repairs and prevention work to keep animals out
  • 100% permanent elimination of rats, mice, or even bats
  • Cleanup of animal waste and odor control services
  • Emergency animal issues, and dead animal removal

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Canyon county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Nampa animal control for wildlife issues.

Nampa Wildlife Removal Tip: Skunk Exterminator
Skunks are harmless animals, but if you get too close, then you risk them shooting you a horrid spray or get a bite from a skunk that is carrying the rabies disease.Skunks often live on human food scraps that they find in bins or around the street. If you suspect you have a skunk hanging around your yard start by getting rid of all food sources like dog food, and anything else they can eat. Skunks are scavengers, and they will happily eat food sources that they can find.If you grow fruit trees or nuts be sure to pick up the old fruit on the ground and discard it as this is enticing for a skunk.

Grass clipping, and weeds should be cleaned up as they can have seeds in them that the skunk will eat.If you have a bird feeder be sure to clean up their seed spilling every day. You could use a tray underneath the cage to catch most of the seeds making it an easy cleanup for you.

You can be a DIY skunk exterminator by following these few tips to eliminate them from your yard and prevent them returning.

Install some light in your backyard as skunks are nocturnal and they hate bright lights. A nicely lit up yard will deter skunks away. It would be best to install solar lights as normal lights will be expensive to run all night.Solar lights are better for your pocket and the environment. The next option is a motion sensor these work well when a skunk or something of similar size goes too close to your yard the lights will come onand deter the skunk away. There are chemicals that are offensive to skunks and if placed around your yard the skunks will start to deter away from those areas. However, it is advised not to use chemical deterrent if you have children or pets are they can be fatal if swallowed.Don't apply the poison if rain is near and be sure to reapply every few days.

Dog urine is a good deterrent as dogs are natural predators the skunk will not hang around your yard if it suspects a dog is there. Most hardware stores sell dog urine products for this purpose.

Ammonia works well if you soak cloths in the ammonia and place them around where you suspect the skunks are frequenting. Be cautious when using ammonia, it is strong, and a mask should be worn.

If you prefer something more natural, then try using lemon or orange peels they have been said to deter skunks away. Just place the peels around your property and in areas that look enticing for skunks.

Motion detection sprinklers are fantastic as soon as the skunk moves near the motion sensor. It will start the sprinkler which the skunk will avoid. This is not so handy if you have pets that sleep outside and may trip the sensor a few times a night.

These are best places around where the skunks are sleeping so you can be sure they will be in and out several times a night setting it off.
