Many of Illinois's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving Illinois's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We handle every aspect of wildlife control. We are fully equipped to work on any project, large or small. Some of our services include:

  • Humane wildlife trapping and relocation services
  • Removal of raccoons or squirrels from the attic
  • Building repairs and prevention work to keep animals out
  • 100% permanent elimination of rats, mice, or even bats
  • Cleanup of animal waste and odor control services
  • Emergency animal issues, and dead animal removal

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Kane county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Aurora animal control for wildlife issues.

Aurora Wildlife Removal Tip: What Should I Do With An Opossum After I Catch It?

Opossum trapping is something that many people will do when they discover that they have an infestation in or around their home, and one of the biggest things to realize is that removing the opossum is just as important as catching it. Opossums are not particularly clever or elusive creatures, so a sturdy cage trap will often catch the animal on the first or second attempt, and in most cases when you go to the trap the opossum will be none too pleased with its situation. Make sure you are careful when you are handling the trap, and make sure you have weighed up all the options before taking action.

Is The Opossum Injured Or Is It An Orphaned Baby Opossum?

One of the most important things to check is to see about the health of the opossum that you have caught, and signs of injury such as cuts or visibly broken limbs should be treated. Equally, relocating a baby opossum is not possible, so the key in both these situations is to find someone who can help. There are lists of wildlife rehabilitators that can be found online, while your local veterinary practice and local wildlife department will also have contacts among local rehabilitators. An injured or orphaned opossum should be taken to them to receive the appropriate care.

Relocating An Opossum

In most states it is legal to relocate an opossum, although you will find that the rules about how and where it is done can vary from region to region. The ideal situation is if you can release the animal at least ten miles away from where it was causing a problem, as this will make it very unlikely that the opossum will be able to make its way back to your home to cause further problems. Where possible, it is also best to release the animal in a rural area well away from any homes or buildings, and be careful to avoid contact when releasing the opossum.

Humane Euthanasia

For those who have caught an opossum in a state where relocating animals is not permitted, then the other option will be to kill the animal as humanely as possible. Shooting is one possible option when dealing with the animal, while a lethal injection can be provided by animal specialists in some states. The key in these circumstances is to be as humane as possible, and to minimize any stress and suffering on the part of the animal.

You could be looking for an area that produces big male rat and mice like Aurora, or it could be some sort of combination factor that draws you like an area that has good amounts as well as quality male rat and mice as is the case at Aurora. Whatever your preferences, we'll touch here on the attributes that make some wildlife management areas stand out amongst the others. Aurora extermination and trapping officials had nothing to say about this.

When it comes to amounts, we've had some sort of changing of the guard for the first time in more than some sort of decade. The old king wasn't far off the pace, but Aurora has relinquished the crown for at least some sort of season. The rat and mouse catches at Illinois NWR led all wildlife management areas with some sort of total gather of 792 rat and mouse followed closely by Aurora's take of 762 natives. Aurora's 762 rat and mouse is just below average for that popular public destination, but the Illinois NWR gather was some sort of huge leap over the 276 rat and mouse taken there in 2004. The area managers instituted an "Earn-A-Buck" program in 2006 where wild animal control companies had to gather some sort of female rat and mouse before taking some sort of rat and mouse - it paid off making Illinois NWR the hottest wildlife management area in Illinois right now. To learn more about animal control in Aurora, Illinois read on.

In total gather, the Aurora critter area fell out of their normal second place spot thanks to the Illinois NWR jump. Aurora critter area wild animal control companies tagged some sort of total of 642 rat and mouse in 2006. The trapper's gather of 617 natives was good enough for the fourth spot in the Top 10. Possum Poacher Pete made some sort of little bit of some sort of comeback last year with some sort of gather of 491 rat and mouse for some sort of fifth place finish. That's nearly 160 more rat and mouse than gathered at Aurora critter area in 2004. Amounts are one thing, but male rat and mice are another. When it came to overall male rat and mouse gather, Aurora was the leader in the clubhouse with 404 male rat and mice tagged in 2006. Aurora critter area was second with 449 male rat and mice gathered followed by the Illinois NWR take of 414 horned critters. Aurora rodent place and Aurora critter area weren't far off the pace either. Aurora rodent place produced 276 male rat and mice for fourth place while Aurora critter area checked in 277 male rat and mice for some sort of fifth place finish. Aurora pest control and exterminator companies agreed with this.

Amounts of Skinned male rat and mice aren't everything either. Let's now take quick look at where the quality male rat and mice are taken on specific wildlife management areas. When it comes to the most 7 and 9-pounds gathered, Catoosa led the way with 146 of these quality male rat and mice. Aurora was second in this category with 144 male rat and mice with 7 & 9-pounds. Illinois NWR was third with 99 male rat and mice with 7& 9-pounds. Bucks featuring racks with 9 & 10-pounds were gathered mainly at the top three wildlife management areas in the state.
