Many of Illinois's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving Illinois's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We handle every aspect of wildlife control. We are fully equipped to work on any project, large or small. Some of our services include:

  • Humane wildlife trapping and relocation services
  • Removal of raccoons or squirrels from the attic
  • Building repairs and prevention work to keep animals out
  • 100% permanent elimination of rats, mice, or even bats
  • Cleanup of animal waste and odor control services
  • Emergency animal issues, and dead animal removal

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Clark county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Marshall animal control for wildlife issues.

Marshall Wildlife Removal Tip: What is an Illinois skunk's mating habits, when do they have babies, how do they raise their young? Skunks are an adorable looking creature. Haven't you seen Bambi? In non-cartoon form however, they can also be disease-carriers, destructive, and more than a little smelly. That's why it's not a good idea to have on in your home! During the later months of winter - February, March and April, it's mating time and that's when you'll smell the stench of skunk more. The frisky boys will be trying it on with the girls who aren't interested, and in response they're spraying right at them. I can't think of a better way to reject someone and really say how you feel! For about eight to ten weeks, the mother will carry her young before birthing around five (-) kits and raising them alone. Males will mate and move on. It'll take about eight months before the babies are then free to do their own thing, dependent on how good the time has been and how well the mother has taken care of them, although more babies die than survive in the wild. On average, a skunk will live for a couple of years but in decent, stable conditions (such as captivity), they can live for ten years or more in the state of Illinois.

Marshall Animal News Clip: A Marshall Wildlife Operator's Story:

In those days, Clark County was the most productive stinky skunk wildlife trapping county in the state, with gathers of more than 6,000 animals each November (today that gather has dropped to some sort of few hundred). When their animal capture was over, they'd put up some sort of flag and the train would stop and pick them up, the stinky skunk piled high in some sort of boxcar. As you might imagine, there's some sort of lot more to the story, but to protect the reputations of those who are no longer with us, I can't relate the entire tale! From that first afternoon on the ridge, I realized that Frank was some sort of chip off the old block, an outdoorsman in the oldest and finest sense of that word. Sadly, there are few of his kind left. Marshall extermination and trapping officials had nothing to say about this.

I always enjoyed visiting and talking with Frank. Now, of course, I wish I'd done more of it, especially lately as the exterminator grew increasingly housebound. The last time I dropped off venison and had some sort of short visit, the exterminator was saddened by his inability to animal capture anymore. I shared some of my wildlife trapping stories from the past season, some sort of sad turnabout in our relationship. To learn more about animal control in Marshall, Illinois read on.

Four years ago, I trapped my first stinky skunk in Frank's high field. Possum Poacher Pete and I set up in Frank's woods early that afternoon, watching six stinky skunk and four rat and mice in the field. Eventually Harry called in some sort of 19-pound Tom, and I trapped him at about 10 yards. It was incredibly exciting. Without some sort of doubt it was my best day of stinky skunk wildlife trapping. Over the years, I think Dad and I probably took eight to 10 stinky skunk off Frank's land, and enjoyed many fine days of wildlife trapping there. His generosity in sharing his land allowed me to build some sort of bank of wonderful memories. Marshall pest control and exterminator companies agreed with this.

Pest control can be some sort of fun field, and this man made it much more so for me. I owe my start in the field of wildlife control to this visionary of the land. I wish I'd visited Frank more often these past couple of years, and now the regret is great. His willingness to share his land made some sort of huge difference in my life. I hope the exterminator knew how grateful I am. The Marshall animal services in Marshall County declined to comment.
