  • Scratching Noises in Your Attic?
  • Unwanted Wildlife on Property?
  • Problem Bird or Bat Infestation?
  • Digging Lawn or Under House?
  • We Can Solve It!
Many of Michigan's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving Michigan's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Benzie county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Frankfort animal control for wildlife issues.

Frankfort Wildlife Removal Tip: What smells repel raccoons?

You need to understand that raccoons are more likely drawn to those areas that are populated by people. This is due to the very reason that the areas are filled with a complete supply of food. People will usually leave foods for their pets. Now, it could just be easy for them to eat the foods given to these pets. They are also adept at reaching into the garbage cans. They will also make a meal out of the food scraps. The moment they have discovered the food around the house, it will be difficult for your part to get rid of them. They will also further continue coming around searching for more food. There are lots of recipes and smells that will repel raccoons.

Issues Faced with Raccoons

Raccoons are now commonly found in the cities than in the wilds or forests. They also have learned it completely to adapt in most urban environments. They will also specifically use food sources and human shelter. They also have feared people. They are strong, intelligent and agile. They are likely to bring out issues that include the following:

Getting Inside the Attic
Crawling right through the Chimney including staying there
Concern over attack on other pets or fearless raccoon
Eating and killing pet birds, chickens and decorative fish
Eating Crops or digging in the garden
Depositing feces in the yard, on the porch, and in the swimming pool
Raiding a structure or a chicken coop.

Smell of a Hot Pepper

Raccoons do not approve the smell of a hot pepper. Thus, you may create a pepper repellent that will keep them away from the garden and home. Just spray it on raccoons and around the plants. The smell will surely scurry it away.

Smell of a Pepper and Onion

The smell of a pepper and onion will never be appetizing to them. Combine water, 2 tbsps. of cayenne pepper, jalapeno pepper and a chopped onion. Let the mixture come into a boil. Let it just steep for a few minutes. Remove the onion and pepper and pour the mixture into a spray bottle. Spray the pepper repellent and onion in your yard and in your garden. Spray it just around the trashcans to avoid it from getting near your garbage.

Urine basically contains ammonia. This scent is indeed very strong. You may repel raccoons from your house by soaking rags in ammonia. Place them properly in your yard, or even next to the garbage cans. Now, you have learned what smells repel raccoons!
