Many of Missouri's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving Missouri's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We handle every aspect of wildlife control. We are fully equipped to work on any project, large or small. Some of our services include:

  • Humane wildlife trapping and relocaton services
  • Removal of raccoons or squirrels from the attic
  • Building repairs and prevention work to keep animals out
  • 100% permanent elimination of rats, mice, or even bats
  • Cleanup of animal waste and odor control services
  • Emergency animal issues, and dead animal removal

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Jackson county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Raytown animal control for wildlife issues.

Raytown Wildlife Removal Tip:

Do snakes always inject venom when they bite?

Many snakes have venom within their bodies that are waiting to come out. The strength of the venom will vary from certain types of snakes. At times, snakes may not even have venom within their system; this is usually for weaker and smaller snakes. It is known that the stronger and larger the snake, the stronger the venom is. Many people tend to wonder if the venom will ever run out after a bite, however this may seem as a logic way to go by, but it is not the case. The venom will only need to refuel after a certain number of repetitive numbers of bites. Therefore, when a snake bites you, does the venom always come out?

Snakes are known to be part of the smart inhabitant, therefore they always tend to think before implement a certain behavior that may or may not cost them their life. As mentioned after a number of bites, the venom will need to be refueled, and when this occurs, it will most likely need some times before refueling. Therefore causing the snake to become venom free, this is not in their advantage if this was to occur. The venom is to a snake, what defense means to basketball players. In order to win the game or the fight against the attacker, the venom will need to come out when a snake bites.

The venom is actually located within the head of the snake, therefore they can most likely decide when or when not to use this. This does come in handy especially since if it was completely gone, it will absolutely be hard to refill. As a result, snakes tend to decide when the venom should be injected in the attacker or not. At times, snakes do tend to bite just a dry bite instead of using the venom; this would most likely mean that they do not feel threatened. Since they do not feel threatened, they would rather save their venom for an emergency because they know if it does finish, it would take a while before it can refill again.

It is best to keep in mind that not all snakes contain venom, only a few do actually. But whenever a snake does bite a human, doctors and everyone else tend to believe the worse and treat it as a venom bite. As mentioned earlier, the stronger and larger snakes do release venom (the most); therefore if these snakes are present then you should be scared. Other than that, most likely you should be fine and content that it could have been worse. However, you can also show the snake that you are not a threat therefore just allowing it to bite a dry bite rather than a venomous one.

This does not mean you shouldn't visit a doctor. Once you become in contact with a snake even if it was not a bite, you should go to the hospital and get checked.
