Many of North Carolina's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found
that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably,
these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire
hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving North Carolina's
wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.
|We do not handle dog or cat problems

Morehead City Wildlife Removal Tip: Will a pest control company remove a opossum? Most pest control companies only offer services relating to insects - smaller animals that can often be eradicated with a fumigant or other type of ‘poison', usually killing the instantly (or as close to as possible), leaving just the clean-up operation to deal with. Sadly, life isn't that simple when you're looking at much larger animals such as raccoons, squirrels and opossums, and you can't just spray some stuff around and hope for the best. These are clever animals, animals that will actively avoid entering into traps unless the bait, placement and circumstances are just right. Many homeowners often give up on finding, trapping the relocating critters like these long before they actually spot them. That's the thing - they'll hide, especially if they hear you coming. When you're trying to find the exit and entrances it's using, that's not always a bad thing, but when you're trying to encourage it to leave, it is. That's why you should look at hiring an expert who has specialized knowledge in this sort of critter, and what it takes to get rid of it.
Morehead City Animal News Clip: Animal Services - On Patrol With Animal Control of Morehead City
The city of Morehead City enacted a law earlier this year that allows animal control officers to crack down on cases of abuse and neglect. The new policy spells out how San Franciscans who keep their squirrels outdoors must provide shelter, food, and water for their rodents. For more information, call the animal services of Morehead City, North Carolina.
Unfortunately, officers don't always catch problems in time. Officer Pat Harold, Morehead City animal control: "The squirrel looks like it's of pretty good weight. There's no water available, so it may just well have just died of thirst." At one filthy Morehead City home, the owner just walked away. They locked the door and left the family squirrel behind. Morehead City County animal control says it will continue to help with domestic animal issues, but not with North Carolina wildlife problems.
Unfortunately, these kind of cases are becoming increasingly common. It's the kind of case no animal control officer wants to see. Officer Pat Harold, Morehead City animal control: "I wish someone would have called two weeks ago when this squirrel stopped barking. They're like, 'Well, the squirrel used to bark every day, and you know, we didn't think anything of it.' I wish that maybe we could have done something. Maybe we couldn't. I don't know." Morehead City County animal services in Morehead City, North Carolina, declined to comment on the matter.
