Many of New York's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving New York's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We handle every aspect of wildlife control. We are fully equipped to work on any project, large or small. Some of our services include:

  • Humane wildlife trapping and relocation services
  • Removal of raccoons or squirrels from the attic
  • Building repairs and prevention work to keep animals out
  • 100% permanent elimination of rats, mice, or even bats
  • Cleanup of animal waste and odor control services
  • Emergency animal issues, and dead animal removal

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Rockland county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Spring Valley animal control for wildlife issues.

Spring Valley Wildlife Removal Tip: What Is A House Mouse's Mating Habits?

Same as other rodents and animals, house mouse also has characteristic of reproduction. They reproduce by mating and to do this they keep on searching for partners. Note that, all animals follow different mating habits and they reproduce in different seasons. The process of mating is different among squirrels, pigeons, and mice as well.

Female Mice Mating Habits:

In order to attract male mice, the females keep on producing pheromones in her way. Generally, the vagina of a female rat stays tightly closed but when she is ready to mate, and her body is on heat; the behavioral changes force it to open. In such a situation, the female mice start stroking her back, and she performs some kind of mating dance to attract the male. During this activity, she tries to lift her head and tail while vibrating the eyes and spinning around. You will be surprised to know that female mouse has the ability to identify the ultrasounds produced by its own brothers with respect to those produced by unrelated males. In case if the sound is produced by their siblings, they do not take any action but once they recognize waves produced by other mice; they get excited to mate.

Male Mice Mating Habits:

Males do not follow any specific behavior to showcase their mood to mate. But yes, they move out in search of a partner during their mating season. In this duration, mice generally go through a string feeling of male to male aggression. They try to engage in some kind of aggressive fight and the one which ensures a win, is the candidate selected for current mating by the female mouse. Note that this aggressive behavior even continues when they have found their mate as they have a strong intention to protect their mates. Some male mice prefer to choose only one partner for their whole life whereas others look for multiple mating partners; hence the second ones are named polygamous mice.

Mice Mating Process:

The mating process is always carried on after courtship. Note that this courtship is generally conducted by the male mouse right when they win the fight to mate with the certain female mouse. As soon as the male mouse senses the pheromones generated by the female, the male mouse starts responding by releasing a specific kind of ultrasonic sound. This process is termed as the mating of mice. Note that this ultrasonic sound is observed to share a few common features with bird songs. At the time of the mating season, male mice not only release these ultrasound waves rather at the same time, but they also keep on following the female mouse. Many times, they even go as far as the female moves. These calls in male mice even continue at the time of mating. In general, the male mouse stays surrounded by females for a long time before the actual mating happens. Mice are able to give birth to multiple babies in one mating season.
