Many of Ohio's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving Ohio's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We handle every aspect of wildlife control. We are fully equipped to work on any project, large or small. Some of our services include:

  • Humane wildlife trapping and relocation services
  • Removal of raccoons or squirrels from the attic
  • Building repairs and prevention work to keep animals out
  • 100% permanent elimination of rats, mice, or even bats
  • Cleanup of animal waste and odor control services
  • Emergency animal issues, and dead animal removal

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Guernsey county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Cambridge animal control for wildlife issues.

Cambridge Wildlife Removal Tip:

Common Snakes of Illinois

When you come across a snake, the first thought in your mind is to kill it. Despite the misconceptions that all snakes are poisonous, there are different types of snakes. Some are venomous while others are not. There are also snakes in Illinois that are very common and they live in highlands, near streams, in bushes and in other places.

Non- Venomous snakes in Illinois

Non-venomous snakes are found in many places. The Garter snake is found in different places and it can feed on small animals like frogs and toads. The snake slithers away if threatened rendering it harmless. The Ringneck snake is very small and easy to notice. They are non-venomous and you can hardly have an encounter with them. The Hognose snake is found in watery places and moist soils. Its main food is normally frogs and toads. The snake has its nose raised upwards to enable digging into the moist soils.

The Kingsnake is also harmless and they are different types like the Prairie Kingsnake, Speckled Kingsnake, and Black kingsnake. They feed on small earthworms and rodents they come across. The water snakes are also common and they are found normally in water. The snakes are swimmers and they hunt for frogs, toads and other animals that stay near the water for food. Ribbon snakes are also common in Illinois. They are normally calm and very docile. They eat small insects, slugs and worms. They are non-venomous and harmless.

The Milk snake is also a very common. They are well hidden in leaf litter and cannot be easily noticed. They feed mostly on earthworms, slugs and other small snakes. They sometimes eat anything that they get in their jaws but they have no venom. The Racer snake is harmless with no venom but can still strike when provoked a little. They normally feed on mice, frogs, mice and rats. The green snake can be well camouflaged in green grass and they are harmless.

Kirtland's snake is one of the endangered species in Illinois. The snake is however harmless and does not have venom. There are other common snakes in Illinois that you can come across like Mississippi Green Snake, Western Mud, Northern Scarlet, Queen snake, Midland Brown snake, Northern Lined Snake and Gopher snake.

Venomous snakes in Illinois

There are snakes that have venom. They are dangerous and their bite is poisonous which may lead to instant death if not treated instantly. The snakes should be avoided at all times. The common venomous snakes in Illinois include: The southern Copperhead and the Northern copperhead, Western Copper mouth, Timber Rattlesnake, Eastern Massassauga. Venomous snakes are normally not found near homes and therefore you should not visit bushes and near deserts as the snakes are normally hidden and not easy to spot.

Even if you are sure that a snake is not poisonous, you are advised to be careful not to harass it. Snakes strike on provocation and this might turn out to be dangerous.
