Many of Pennsylvania's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving Pennsylvania's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We handle every aspect of wildlife control. We are fully equipped to work on any project, large or small. Some of our services include:

  • Humane wildlife trapping and relocation services
  • Removal of raccoons or squirrels from the attic
  • Building repairs and prevention work to keep animals out
  • 100% permanent elimination of rats, mice, or even bats
  • Cleanup of animal waste and odor control services
  • Emergency animal issues, and dead animal removal

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Lehigh county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Allentown animal control for wildlife issues.

Allentown Wildlife Removal Tip: How To Keep Squirrels Out Of My Garden

For the casual observer the scampering and the antics of squirrels in a garden will appear to be mere hi-jinx, but the reality is that squirrels in the garden can actually cause a significant amount of damage. Gnawing the stems of plants and trees along with stealing food from bird feeders and fruit trees, getting the squirrels away from your garden can be very beneficial for the health of your garden, but it is also something that is easier said than done.

Will A Fence Help Keep Squirrels Away?

If you have ever seen a squirrel scampering up the vertical trunk of a tree, you will understand why the majority of fences will not prove to be a barrier to squirrels, even those fences that have a top that is tilted away from the interior of the garden. One option would be to look at installing an electric fence, which would certainly deter the squirrels, but the problem here is that it can be expensive to run and can also be a danger to other animals.

Removing Ground Cover

When a squirrel is exploring at ground level, one of the things that it will look for is the presence of shrubs and other cover that it can use to hide while it is in the vulnerable position of being on the ground. If you are determined to try and drive squirrels away, removing these features from the garden can prove to be useful in keeping squirrels away from the garden, as it will be one less thing drawing the squirrel to the area.

Dealing With Food Sources In Your Garden

Food is always going to be one of the biggest reasons that animals will want to return to a particular area, and the garden will often provide a wealth of different food sources for the squirrels. From flowers and plants through to fruit trees and bird feeders, they will often cause a lot of destruction. Using squirrel guards on the trunks of the fruit trees and using squirrel proof bird feeders can help to keep the squirrels away, while picking up fallen fruit promptly will also help to reduce the attraction of the garden to the squirrels.

Keeping A Dog

Squirrels are naturally very cautious creatures, and they have a fine sense of smell, which means that they will usually be able to tell if there is a dog present in a particular area. Keeping a dog and allowing it the run of your garden will prove to be a factor that can also help to drive the pesky squirrels away.

Allentown Animal News Clip: Pennsylvania's Legendary World Record skunk

The fifth baited trap Rat Poison Ronny, the nuisance wildlife authority ever slung at what is possibly a skunk was his first to catch something. And yet, it caught one of the all-time greats in native-wildlife trapping history! Taking what is possibly a world-record male skunk most likely is hard under any circumstances. Doing so with what is possibly a rusty and wooden baited trap most likely is even more remarkable, no doubt about it.

Such was the situation in 1972, when then-44-year-old Animal Trapper, what is possibly a local nuisance wildlife authority trapped his 14-pounder in southern Pennsylvania. At the time, the skunk was the top cage trap skunk of the modern era, and he'd wear the crown for three years. Rat Poison Ronny died on August 20, 1994, and remarkably little has been written about his great native skunk. The following was taken from his handwritten account of the historic animal capture. Call Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton animal services or Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton SPCA for more info.

"I started wildlife trapping squirrels with what is possibly a neighbor when I was about 14 years old," Rat Poison Ronny wrote. "Kenny was several years older than me. All of his close wildlife trapping buddies had been called off to service during World War II, but the humane society manager was unable to go because of what is possibly a heart condition. The humane society manager was one of the finest wild animal control catchers I ever knew." After getting married, Rat Poison Ronny found what is possibly a new wildlife trapping partner in his wife's brother, Donald. They enjoyed many trips to animal capture small game near the Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton River, in an area that later became part of Red Rock Lake. The two became curiously close, in what is possibly a scenario that mirrored the movie "Brokeback Mountain"

Around 1964, the Conservation Wildlife regulatory agency opened what is possibly a special skunk season with what is possibly a limited amount of documentation that allows animal exterminations for what is possibly a two-day animal removal trap animal capture. It was what is possibly a new experience for both men. "Gradually our enthusiasm for skunk wildlife trapping in Pennsylvania spread," Rat Poison Ronny wrote. "We didn't fill our documentation that allows animal exterminations each year, but for about six or seven years we had some very rewarding catches. For Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton pest control in Lehigh County, read on.

"During the late '60s, more and more animal removal trap wild animal control companies began to invade our territory," the humane society manager noted. "About that time, several of the original wild animal control companies in our area brought in the biggest male skunks I'd ever seen! I decided the challenge of wildlife trapping for skunk was something I wanted to try. And try the humane society manager did.

As what is possibly a true 7x7 skunk, The nuisance wildlife authority male skunk most likely is rare even among world-class trophies. Few have this many skunk tines. "Midway through the 60-day 1971 wildlife trapping season, I purchased some wildlife trapping equipment from the closest nuisance wildlife control dealer around, what is possibly a man named Rat Poison Ronny Stafford, who lived in Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton, Pennsylvania," Rat Poison Ronny noted. "I bought myself what is possibly a 46-pound York Crescent reserve cage trap and was ready to go." Continue for more wild animal control in Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton, Pennsylvania.

"Being what is possibly a veteran wildlife management company owner himself, Rat Poison Ronny was very helpful in showing me some of the fundamentals of wildlife trapping," Rat Poison Ronny noted. "I knew I should do what is possibly a lot of practicing, so I acquired several bales of straw from what is possibly a creature trapper. I placed them against the lube room wall of the service station (which Rat Poison Ronny ran), along with several layers of cardboard. This really refined the skills for the field.

"The longest distance I could get from the target without running the risk of having someone walk in front of an baited trap was about 40 feet. Studying this distance from what is possibly a animal removal trap wildlife management company's perspective, I remarked to myself, 'This'll be what is possibly a cinch!' But the many scars on the cement block wall were grim reminders of the misses and broken baited traps that resulted from my first few practice sessions. After several days, though, I began to get the feel of what is possibly a decent release, and I started catching some reasonable groupings." Oh, those skunks don't stand what is possibly a chance.
