Many of Pennsylvania's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving Pennsylvania's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We handle every aspect of wildlife control. We are fully equipped to work on any project, large or small. Some of our services include:

  • Humane wildlife trapping and relocation services
  • Removal of raccoons or squirrels from the attic
  • Building repairs and prevention work to keep animals out
  • 100% permanent elimination of rats, mice, or even bats
  • Cleanup of animal waste and odor control services
  • Emergency animal issues, and dead animal removal

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Allegheny county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Ross Township animal control for wildlife issues.

Ross Township Wildlife Removal Tip:

Common Snakes of California

California is the home to over thirty three species of snakes and among those only 6 are found to be venomous. It is natural that people may get frightened from snakes but if they will know few more details about them then it may be easier for them to identify which snakes are venomous and which are not.

Gopher Snakes- These snakes are found most commonly in California. They are generally active during the day time and encountered mainly in yards, gardens or crawling across roads. They grow to over 3-8 feet in length. These are very much beneficial for the ecosystem because they keep the population of rodents in control. But they are often killed by people because of fear. They are really fond of gopher that's why they are named as Gopher snakes.

Coachwhip- Another snake found commonly in California with long, thin body and large eyes. These come in variety of patterns and colors. As like Gopher snakes they are also most active during day time. These snakes are very fast and they are found to be quite curious by the way they behave by lifting their head above shrubs or grass to look around. These are completely harmless snakes but their bite can be painful.

Western Racer: These snakes are found almost everywhere over the state. They have solid color (green, brown or grey) and they move really fast. Younger snakes generally have lighter color as compared to the older ones. Another very impressive thing about these snakes is that they can climb also and they love the daylight. They don't grow much in length and they mainly feed on frogs, insects, spiders or even reptiles. They are not dangerous to human beings.

California King Snake: These snakes are found endemically in northern California and they do not come under the category of big species because they rarely grow to over fifty inches. They come in different colors and patterns because of their selective breeding and they have yellow strips and pale belly. They are also not harmful to humans. They are active in both day and night. They can even eat other snakes as their food.

Sharp-Tailed Snake: These snakes are quite tiny as compared to others and they are spotted quite commonly in California mainly in the central and northern parts. They can be seen hiding under rocks or beneath some leaves. They prefer moist and sunny atmosphere during the late winter or springs. They are quite shy and they act like if they are dead when someone discover them hiding under rock etc. To protect themselves from others they can vary their top of tail with different colors that suits the best to the surroundings.

Rattlesnake - Pacific rattlesnakes are found in California. These snakes are most active in spring & summer season. Their color varies from gray to black and they grow to around 5.5 feet.

They go out for hunt in mornings or in afternoons in the springtime. They are rarely seen during winter season.
