Many of Pennsylvania's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving Pennsylvania's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We handle every aspect of wildlife control. We are fully equipped to work on any project, large or small. Some of our services include:

  • Humane wildlife trapping and relocation services
  • Removal of raccoons or squirrels from the attic
  • Building repairs and prevention work to keep animals out
  • 100% permanent elimination of rats, mice, or even bats
  • Cleanup of animal waste and odor control services
  • Emergency animal issues, and dead animal removal

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Tioga county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Wellsboro animal control for wildlife issues.

Wellsboro Wildlife Removal Tip: Is It Safe To Handle A Squirrel With Bare Hands?

Handling wildlife yourself is very risky. Instruction needs to be followed carefully and precautions need to be taken. Wildlife rehabber is much more qualified than ordinary people. If you spot a baby squirrel then you must immediately call for a wildlife rehabber to take care of it and to look after it. Baby squirrels have different parasites like hookworm, host, leach, etc. so at the same time you should also call for any wildlife organization nearby.

Don't try making any animal's baby as your pet as it can cause the baby harm if you don't know the proper way to take care of it, don't know what food to give and at last touching the baby with dirty hands can cause infection and ultimately result in the death of the baby. In most states it's illegal to keep any wild animal as pets without obtaining a valid license. Towels and gloves should be used to handle the older baby squirrel because since they have teeth they can bite you. The squirrel baby should be kept secluded place so that younger children may not be able to touch it as the baby may look healthy from outside but may have many internal problems which could be hazardous to the health of the children. The person who touches the squirrel baby with no gloves should wash their hand with soap so as to avoid transfer of germs and infection.

Care for older babies

Use gloves, towels while handling squirrel or while putting your hands in the container in which the squirrel is kept for what so purpose it may be. The squirrel can bite or scratch your hand if it thinks it pose danger from you so be careful while handling it. For proper nourishment of the squirrel place a small amount of finely chopped apple, a container with some water.

Use safe fluid

Ringer solution is the best warm acid. The baby's body best absorb ringer. Fruit, drinks should be avoided, a drink should be given till the rehabber comes. Add salt and sugar to boiled water and then cool it, the same things which are used to feed babies of human, dog, etc. will not be same as use for squirrel. Do not use anything except the above recipe to feed a baby squirrel till a rehabber arrives. Using of any other thing can result in the death of the baby. If you by mistake have given anything which should not be given to the baby squirrel then tell it clearly to the rehabber so he can treat squirrel baby accordingly. So the baby squirrel needs to be handled very delicately and carefully.
