  • Scratching Noises in Your Attic?
  • Unwanted Wildlife on Property?
  • Problem Bird or Bat Infestation?
  • Digging Lawn or Under House?
  • We Can Solve It!
Many of Rhode Island's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving Rhode Island's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Kent county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Warwick animal control for wildlife issues.

Warwick Wildlife Removal Tip: Black Pepper and Rats

Rats are problematic pests that cause quite a great deal of commotion and hazard during their visits. Whether they're chewing on wires or assaulting pets, these creatures are often unwelcome in homes because of their dangerous disposition and nuisance behaviors. There is nothing that rats love more than simply wreaking havoc on a lovely home, and when you consider the spread of disease that rats contribute to significantly, allowing them to stay for any duration of time is preposterous. But how does one dissuade a rat from causing a ruckus during their stay until they have been effectively removed from the premises? Well, using substances like black pepper as repellants can be incredibly beneficial.

What Types of Substances to Use

Pests are generally encouraged to infest a home if it meets one or two requirements. It has to have easy access to food, and it has to provide shelter from natural predators. Given the way that most homes are set up, especially homes with pet animals, both of these conditions can be easily met for the average rat. Therefore, if you notice that a rat has been leaving droppings on your floor and eating your cat's food and chewing through your television cables, then you need to implement a spicy routine to deter them from their actions. While black pepper is certainly effective, you can use virtually any spicy substance. Chinese hot mustard, hot sauce, wasabi, cayenne, and other such substances tend to be incredible effective. You can place them on the cords themselves, and once you have fed your pet all that they will eat, you can lather up the rat's usual food assault with these spices.

How to Use The Substances Correctly

If you try to get rid of rats by simply using these repellants, you will not succeed. Rats are crafty and clever, and they will find other ways to get what they need while bypassing your spice traps. These spices will of course be dissuasive, but if you want them to truly work as a repellent, you have to use them properly. By placing the spices in areas where rats are likely to enter your home, you can deter them from ever coming in. Place the spice mixture at cracks and holes, crawl spaces and attics, doorways and the like. If you know that rats could pose a threat, then prepare appropriately.
