Many of Texas's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving Texas's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We handle every aspect of wildlife control. We are fully equipped to work on any project, large or small. Some of our services include:

  • Humane wildlife trapping and relocation services
  • Removal of raccoons or squirrels from the attic
  • Building repairs and prevention work to keep animals out
  • 100% permanent elimination of rats, mice, or even bats
  • Cleanup of animal waste and odor control services
  • Emergency animal issues, and dead animal removal

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Harris county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Humble animal control for wildlife issues.

Humble Wildlife Removal Tip: What equipment is needed to trap a groundhog?

Perhaps you have gotten a groundhog infestation and you are looking for how to deal with them or you are just seeking knowledge or checking for a friend and you are wondering what equipment you will need to trap a groundhog. The equipment you will require include:

Cage Trip or Body Grip Trap
 Bait
 Protective Clothing
 Means of transportation

Cage Trip or Body Grip Trap

There are 2 main types of trap you might opt for. Your choice will be dependent on if you are planning to kill the groundhog or if you just want to catch them alive. The first is the cage trap that can be used to catch groundhogs alive. The body grip traps, on the other hand, are made of metal and have a jaw that is very effective in dealing with groundhogs. This option will be very effective if you intend to kill the groundhogs.

Bait

You will also need a bait to trap a groundhog. Groundhogs are majorly vegetarian even though they sometimes eat small insects occasionally. Thus, vegetables and fruits make the best type of bait for groundhogs. You can get cantaloupe and strawberry and cut them into small pieces. String beans, peas, and lettuce are also great options.

Protective Clothing

You will need protective clothes irrespective of if you are trapping them to death or catching them alive. This is because they mostly carry parasites that could infect you. Thus you will need a sturdy gloves pair and thick clothes. If possible, you should get a mask as well and goggles.

Means of transportation

When you have trapped the groundhog, you will need to transport them to where you are disposing their carcass or relocating them too. If you are catching alive, it is best to throw a blanket over the cage so that they will be confused and remain fairly docile and calm.
