Many of Texas's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving Texas's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We handle every aspect of wildlife control. We are fully equipped to work on any project, large or small. Some of our services include:

  • Humane wildlife trapping and relocaton services
  • Removal of raccoons or squirrels from the attic
  • Building repairs and prevention work to keep animals out
  • 100% permanent elimination of rats, mice, or even bats
  • Cleanup of animal waste and odor control services
  • Emergency animal issues, and dead animal removal

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Palo Pinto county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Palo Pinto animal control for wildlife issues.

Palo Pinto Wildlife Removal Tip:

About Deer

There are different animals included in the deer family such as elk, muntjacs, moose, caribou, and wapiti. According to researchers, there are over 50 species widely available in the deer family. The deer are the member of Cervidae Taxonomic Family. Their average lifespan is about 02 - 04 years. Deer have been used extensively as a food source as well as for clothing.

Size and Description

Deer are available in all sizes depending upon the species. The smallest deer is Southern Pudu which weighs about 20 pounds and can grow as high as 14 inches. On the other hand, the most abundant species of deer are called moose. They can grow as high as 6.5 feet and can weigh around 820 kg. Male deer usually have antlers that are merely the extension of their skulls. The deer typically have long slender legs and a small tail.

Habitat

Deer are found in abundance all over the world except Australia. There are different species of deer available in different parts of the world. The Barbary Red Deer is found in Africa. The Southern pudu deer is located in Argentina and Chile. Whereas, the North and South America is native to white-tailed deer. The deer can easily survive in different types of ecosystems. They can be found in grasslands, wetlands, rainforests, mountains, arid scrublands and deciduous forests. Because of decreased proximity between human inhabited area and woods, the deer have learned to survive in urban settings.

Diet

Deer are herbivorous animals. They mainly survive on vegetation. Their diet usually consists of shrubs, leaves, and grass. The deer living near urban areas will even scavenge for food inside the trash bins and garbage cans.

Habits

Deer are very social animals and tend to live in huge groups. These large groups of deer are called herds. A herd is often lead by a strong and dominant male deer. There can be as many as 100,000 members in a single herd.

Deer are usually active throughout the day, i.e., from dawn to dusk but they are most active during the sunrise and sunset timings. During the day they are generally searching for food and keeping themselves safe from the predators.

Life Cycle

The mating season for deer is during the summers. Males fight each other using their antlers to claim their right on a female deer. The most dominant male deer win the right to mate with the most number of female deer. The gestation period of the female on average is about ten months long. The females usually isolate themselves from the herd to give birth. They typically give birth to 0ne to three fawns during the late spring season.
