  • Scratching Noises in Your Attic?
  • Unwanted Wildlife on Property?
  • Problem Bird or Bat Infestation?
  • Digging Lawn or Under House?
  • We Can Solve It!
Many of Texas's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving Texas's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Rockwall county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Rockwall animal control for wildlife issues.

Rockwall Wildlife Removal Tip: How Do I Clean Rat Feces Out Of My Attic?

Cleaning up rat feces is a very important job of rat control process but before going ahead to clean up the rodents infested areas ensure all the rats are trapped, removed and all the entry points are sealed off. If require, wait for 3-4 days to see if any more rats are there in your attic and then start the cleaning job.

Cleaning the rat feces should not be taken lightly as the drooping can create disease which is easily transmitted in human while the odor is too unpleasant which can attract other rodents soon. Here is how to perfectly clean the rat feces in the attic.

Before attempting to clean the attic, the area should be ventilated properly by opening up all the doors and windows. Make sure fresh air can enter that area for cross ventilation and the potentially contaminated air is removed otherwise it will call diseases in you in case you inhale the smell excessively. Wait for 30 minutes after opening all the doors and then start.

Step 1: Vacuum

The first step is to vacuum the rat feces in the infested area. Any vacuum will do the job perfectly, whether you have an industrial vacuum with a hose or if it is a portable vacuum, you can use it for the rat feces cleaning purposes. But the job becomes easier if the surface is flat.

Step 2: Remove the soiled insulation

In case the insulation is too dirty and is full of feces that are not possible to clean, it is better to remove the insulation and go for installing a fresh bat fiberglass insulation in that rat infested area.

Step 3: Fog that area

After vacuum and insulation the next process is to fog. The drooping and urine can no way be removed using hand. Also there are drooping embedded in the insulation and down the walls that can be better removed using an electronic fogging machine. When it comes to choosing the product to use in the cleaning purpose, there are many to look for. Bac-Azap is a good product you can consider that is a combination of cultured bacteria and enzymes which kill of the bacteria, pathogens, and odor while eats up the urine and feces of the rats.

Cleaning up the infested area is not that easy and you should take enough precaution as the poop and urine waste can create a number of diseases in you. So follow these precautions, wear latex, rubber or vinyl gloves, wear respiratory mask and eye glasses, and finally remove the gloves when cleaning is done and wash hands properly using soap or other sanitizer.
