Many of Texas's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving Texas's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We handle every aspect of wildlife control. We are fully equipped to work on any project, large or small. Some of our services include:

  • Humane wildlife trapping and relocation services
  • Removal of raccoons or squirrels from the attic
  • Building repairs and prevention work to keep animals out
  • 100% permanent elimination of rats, mice, or even bats
  • Cleanup of animal waste and odor control services
  • Emergency animal issues, and dead animal removal

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Fort Bend county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Sugar Land animal control for wildlife issues.

Sugar Land Wildlife Removal Tip: New York City Rats Are Getting Bigger

Several witness testimonies depict their horrifying run-ins with New York City rats, and in each case, these people are predominantly terrified by how large the rats are. NYC rats have always been rumored to be extra-large and even more dangerous, but scientists have recently confirmed that the rats in this location are actually way bigger than normal. The scariest part is, these creatures are growing. The rats of New York City are steadily increasing in size, much to the sheer terror of the local community. While they are not currently up to standard housecat size, the rats could get there very soon.

How Big Are These Rats?

The largest rat that was found and tested by the scientists ended up weight nearly two pounds, making it essentially a colossus in the rat world. These scientists have yet to find any evidence supporting the concept that rat physiology has the capacity to support much heavier weights, but with the rate of rapid growth in the rat population of the Big Apple, it seems a logical conclusion to make. It is important to note that the fact that these rats are significantly larger does not necessarily mean that they are inherently more dangerous. The rats of NYC are just as dangerous as their counterparts across the country, with their capacity for spreading disease being just as extreme, but they are not more aggressive or prone to attack. They are simply larger than their counterparts in other areas, and they can be tamed or made docile accordingly.

Why Are the Rats So Big?

There is an evolutionary advantage to having larger physical characteristics when you are a rat competing for resources in an urban environment. Bigger teeth, more fearsome stature, and other such attributes will naturally lend that genetic mutation to have more favorability in terms of evolution. Because rats are capable of producing a new generation within a few months, their evolutionary mutations are much more rapidly appearing. Unfortunately, in addition to being larger, rats are evolving to be resistance to a great deal of poisons being used to eradicate them. These advantages are great for the rats, but they're certainly less than desirable for the average New Yorker. Genetic mutations are normal in all species, but they're far more noticeable in rats due to their shorter lifespans and greater need for genetic difference.
