  • Scratching Noises in Your Attic?
  • Unwanted Wildlife on Property?
  • Problem Bird or Bat Infestation?
  • Digging Lawn or Under House?
  • We Can Solve It!
Many of Texas's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving Texas's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Bowie county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Texarkana animal control for wildlife issues.

Texarkana Wildlife Removal Tip: Should I Ever Poison A Raccoon?

If you are having sleepless nights and hearing strange noises or your house is stinking, know that you have a new member a raccoon living with you in your house. Raccoons are social animals but wild animal can never be pets. They are friendly and are mostly found in the urban areas rather than rural. Trapping them and killing or getting rid of them is not easy. They have a strong memory.

There are various methods of killing a raccoon from shooting to making it pass through CO2 chamber or giving him lethal injection. Giving it poison is a big NO! No one deserves such a ruthless death. There are many humane ways by which you can kill a raccoon. Giving him poison is absolutely the last and the worst thing one can do. It's the most inhumane and cowardly thing you can do. The smell of the dead raccoon is unbearable and you don't want it in the house without knowledge of where the raccoon is.

The use of poison to kill raccoons or wildlife is very inhumane and ignorant of us. This is the worst of all and you should not even think of using this technique as it gives slower and painful death to the animal. Chances are that maybe any pet, like your dog, the neighbour's cat or any other animal consumes it and suffers. It absolutely depends upon the kind of poison maybe the animal that consumed it may not die and only get very sick and face health issues. If in case the raccoon for whom you kept the poison consumed it who was living in the chimney or attic or anywhere in your house will move to a dark place and die where you could not find it and then when it rots, you will experience a very horrible smell in the entire house that would not be easy to bear with.

Types of poison used

A person uses bromadiolone, cholecalciferol, difenacoum, warfarin, brodifacoum, ethylene glycol, strychnine also as a poison to kill them and the result of it is always disgusting. Poison like anticoagulant is used to kill mice and rats and it causes internal bleeding and the capillaries are also damaged, it takes few days and then the animal dies with extreme pain.

Antifreeze is also a popular poison used to kill them and it causes the failure of the heart, kidney and lungs and the cellular and tissues are damaged. The death takes in 24 hours. Strychnine causes death by extreme exhaustion of the animal.

In most of the states the use of poison is not legal and one can be charged by law if they use the technique to kill any animal.
