  • Scratching Noises in Your Attic?
  • Unwanted Wildlife on Property?
  • Problem Bird or Bat Infestation?
  • Digging Lawn or Under House?
  • We Can Solve It!
Many of Texas's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving Texas's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Victoria county animal services for assistance. They can help you out with issues such as stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, vaccinations, licenses, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals. There is no free Victoria animal control for wildlife issues.

Victoria Wildlife Removal Tip: Do snakes make good pets?

Well to answer this question we need to understand a little about snakes. What are the basics of a snake? First remember that your snake needs to be fed regularly, therefore you must commit to feeding it regularly. Secondly that they are great at escaping, you therefore must have a good and protective environment for it. Consider the fact that some snakes have longevity of up to twenty years; you therefore are making a long time commitment. What type of a snake do you want to keep as a pet? You cannot wake up and decide to keep any snake as a pet. For instance, some snakes are constrictors, how do you plan on relating with it on a day to day basis? If you woke up and found it in your bed, how would you react? Other snakes are venomous. These are a definite no as the chances of getting bit may be high. Mainly because, although snakes can be tamed, they are still wild animals and you cannot always control their behavior.

Yes there are great snakes to keep as pets

Captive bred snakes can be easier to handle as opposed to those you catch in the wild may already be exhibiting aggressive behavior toward you. When you get to choose a snake to adopt, ensure it is a healthy snake. You do not want a sick dying animal in the first place. If you are just beginning, avoid constricting and venomous snakes.

If you decide to keep one

Remember food is vital to your animal, frozen rodents are recommended. This is because you want a tame animal. If you teach it to it food, you may be teaching it to hunt, and one day your other pets may become dinner to your snake pet. Glass cases are recommended for your snake pet. However, if you let it roam free, remember it could leave your property and get killed. Also, remember to warn any guests you may have in your home about it. Or preferably lock it up in the presence of strangers as their fear may lead to incidents you wish to avoid. Train everyone in your homestead on how to relate with it to avoid bites or aggressive behavior from the snake.

Not everyone is cut out to rear pet snakes. Therefore, if you are considering keeping one as a pet, be sure to be a lover of snakes. Otherwise disaster awaits you and the snake.
