Many of Virginia's wild animals have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. For example some wildlife have found that attics make great places to live. Other animals find refuge under homes or porches. Invariably, these animals cause damage. Rodents, like squirrels and rats, love to chew on electrical wires once in an attic, and this causes a serious fire hazard. Raccoons can cause serious contamination in an attic with their droppings and parasites. Same goes for bat or bird colonies. We specialize in solving Virginia's wildlife problems, from snake removal to large jobs like commercial bat control, we do it all.

We handle every aspect of wildlife control. We are fully equipped to work on any project, large or small. Some of our services include:

  • Humane wildlife trapping and relocation services
  • Removal of raccoons or squirrels from the attic
  • Building repairs and prevention work to keep animals out
  • 100% permanent elimination of rats, mice, or even bats
  • Cleanup of animal waste and odor control services
  • Emergency animal issues, and dead animal removal

We do not handle dog or cat problems. If you need assistance with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, you need to call your local Prince William county animal services for assistance. Gainesville Wildlife Removal Tip: How to get rid of vultures
We have home movies before. The lonesome cowboy is on his last legs somewhere out in the desert or a person has crashed in their car in the middle of nowhere and has but a few brief minutes of life left. They lay on the ground, the hot sun beating down on them, waiting for death to finally cover them as they give up their last breath.

The ultimate sign that the end is about to come is when a group of vultures began to circle around them. This is the universal sign to most of us that death is a foot. When we see vultures circling we know that somewhere beneath them is an animal, maybe even a person, that is close to death or that has already died.

While this is a common scenario, the truth is that vultures will come around for other reasons. When they do, they can be extremely annoying and kind of creepy if you get down to it. This may make you wonder how you can get rid of vultures from around your house.

The most obvious thing you can do is to try to scare them. Loud noises are one of the most common means that can be used and they are extremely effective. This can be done by using a wide variety of techniques, including such things as playing loud music, banging some pans against one another, or even clapping your hands loudly. In a pinch, yelling will even do the job for you. It just needs to be loud.

Vultures are also afraid of shiny objects. It is not actually the objects themselves, but is really the reflection that the sunlight shines off of the shiny objects, which startles the vultures and gets them to flee. This can easily be done by hanging a group of CDs, pans, or even aluminum strips. If you don't have any place to directly tied these objects to because it is out in a field or something, consider hanging I'm to a balloon filled with helium. This will still give you the desired effect.

Vultures are afraid of two of the biggest predators to them, which are the owl and the hawk. Clearly, you are not going to invite these predators around your property, but what you can do is get statues of these birds the place around your yard, including in trees. Vultures are not smart enough to realize that these are fakes, so they will be afraid of them and flee. To add an even greater possibility of scaring them off, it is a good idea to move them on a regular basis so that the vultures think that they are alive for sure.

You also want to deny them place to roost. One thing that can be effective is to go out to tree branches before nightfall and shake them. After a few days of doing this the vultures will just stay away from your home and your problem will be resolved.
